Every year, Searle Creative takes part in the CAN-tree food drive put on by Food Share Ventura County. Thanks to an exciting year of growth here at the agency, our team was large enough to contribute and build two trees—that’s 1200-1600 cans of food donated to the community!
We had our task: decorate two trees in a memorable and creative way. The options were endless! Searle project manager Caitlynn Hoehn and art director Kelly Myers stepped up and suggested our themes: Beyon-sleigh and Merry Swiftmas. (We were a little influenced by the top concert tours of the year.)
Imma let you finish, but the Searle team had the best tree(s) of the year
Kelly and Caitlynn did an amazing job finding and making decorations to match each theme, including a friendship bracelet-style garland for the Taylor Swift tree, and the glitteriest, Renaissance-tour appropriate sleigh and reindeer you've ever seen. A big shout out also goes to web developer Joe Howard for crafting all the faux popcorn for Swiftmas!
On decorating day, we sadly had to work without Caitlynn, who'd come down with a bug. But the team pulled together to make her proud. Check out the finished products below!
After the excitement of the holidays passed, the CAN-tree team at Food Share reached out to let us know that Beyon-sleigh and Merry Swiftmas won Best Décor! We enthusiastically accepted the award, and look forward to defending our title in 2024. It was a great opportunity to use our creative skills to support a local nonprofit and connect with the greater community.
