The OCEAN brand was developed for Ventura Unified School District’s Expanded Opportunity Learning Program, including strategic support and the creation of the new name and acronym: OCEAN—On-Campus Enrichment, Academics, & Nurturing. The program offers a well-rounded, on-campus experience that blends academics, creativity, physical activity, and social connection after school, during breaks, and throughout the summer for students in varying age groups.

The logo’s starfish icon symbolizes growth, curiosity, and fun, while the bright, complementary color palette aligns with VUSD’s established brand guidelines. Together, the naming and visual identity position OCEAN as an inviting, holistic program that supports the whole child and feels cohesive within the VUSD ecosystem.
