Ventura Botanical Gardens Wayfinding and Signage

This custom illustrated wayfinding map for the Ventura Botanical Gardens was designed to make exploration effortless and enjoyable, whether visitors are strolling the trails or planning their route ahead of time. Featuring bold color-coded garden zones, clear trail paths, and intuitive icons for photo stops, benches, landmarks, and amenities, the map provides a friendly visual guide to the entire hillside. Installed in three prominent locations throughout the gardens—each with a “You Are Here” marker—it helps guests orient themselves instantly at any point along their visit. For added convenience, the map is also available online as a printable and mobile download version, allowing visitors to navigate the gardens right from their phones or plan at home.

To keep visitors inspired to return, the Gardens also share new monthly “Upcoming Events” artwork on on-site A-frame signs, highlighting seasonal programs and activities with QR codes that make it easy to purchase tickets or see additional event information.
