VC Emergency Website

VC Emergency Website

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office needed a new Emergency website to help residents stay informed during critical events. Designed for clarity and ease of use, the site makes it simple to access real-time updates and emergency resources.

A standout feature is the custom post type for active incidents. These updates feed directly to the homepage and also generate their own shareable links. This makes it easy to spread accurate information across social media and group chats. Bold yellow icons help users quickly identify the type of emergency. Social sharing buttons are built into each post for quick distribution.

The site also includes a “Navigating Emergencies” section. This feature connects the Prepare, Emergency, and Recover pages. Together, they offer guidance before, during, and after an emergency–making the full process easier to understand.

The site’s goal is simple: deliver clear, useful communication when residents need it most.
