Custom Black Carbon Monitoring Dashboard

The My Oxnard Air black carbon monitoring dashboard showcases advanced custom web development and live data visualization for a complex environmental monitoring initiative. Live cloud data from four black carbon monitoring stations and multiple modern and legacy data systems is seamlessly integrated into a single dashboard that refreshes hourly to display the most current information available. Developed in collaboration with scientists, public agencies, community organizations, and local stakeholders, the platform transforms highly technical environmental data into an intuitive experience for researchers, educators, and the broader community.

Custom development included implementation of a custom black carbon index using a rolling 12-hour calculation, Google Maps data integrations, flexible date range and location queries, dynamic charts and gauges, downloadable CSV data exports, and raw data tables. The result is a scientifically accurate, user-friendly platform that makes complex environmental monitoring data accessible without sacrificing technical precision.
