Burrtec Outreach

Burrtec Outreach

For over 65 years, Burrtec has served a wide range of customers, helping it become the largest privately-held solid waste company in California. The company serves industrial, commercial, municipal, and residential subscribers.

Searle was tasked with helping Burrtec communicate changes to their organic waste recycling program as part of SB1383, a statewide effort to reduce emissions from organic waste. An awareness campaign involving mailers, posters, and signage came together, serving multi- and single-family residential customers and schools. Using friendly illustrations and easy-to-understand messaging, the campaign showed Burrtec customers how easy it is to recycle organic waste.
